Road to Devcon 8 India - University Program

The Road to Devcon 8 University Program supports student groups, professors, and academic institutions in building meaningful engagement with Ethereum ahead of Devcon 8. This includes fostering research, education, and student-led initiatives that contribute to Ethereum's long-term ecosystem growth. This program focuses on empowering universities and academic communities to create spaces for learning, exploration, and collaboration, both on-campus and online. We support initiatives such as campus workshops, research seminars, lecture series, student clubs, hackathons, reading groups, and academic collaborations that: - Introduce students and researchers to Ethereum - Encourage deeper exploration of Ethereum's technical, economic, and social dimensions - Build long-term academic engagement and research capacity - Create pathways for students to participate in the broader Ethereum ecosystem and Devcon

Ecosystem Need

As Ethereum matures, building sustained engagement with academic institutions is essential for the ecosystem's long-term growth. Universities are home to future builders, researchers, and thought leaders, yet structured pathways connecting academia to Ethereum remain limited. This program responds to that need by: - Expanding Ethereum's reach into universities, introducing students and researchers to Ethereum's technical, economic, and social dimensions - Building long-term academic engagement and research capacity, creating foundations for sustained contributions beyond a single event - Creating pathways for students and faculty to participate in the broader Ethereum ecosystem and Devcon, bridging the gap between academic inquiry and hands-on ecosystem involvement By supporting university-led initiatives, we aim to cultivate an academic community that actively contributes to Ethereum's development, research, and adoption over time.
