Road to Devcon 8 India - Ecosystem Program

The Road to Devcon 8 Ecosystem Program supports grassroots initiatives that contribute to the Ethereum ecosystem's growth and resilience ahead of Devcon 8. This program focuses on empowering local projects, builders, and ecosystem contributors to create meaningful spaces for learning, experimentation, and coordination, both online and in-person. We support initiatives such as meetups, bootcamps, hackathons, roundtables, academic collaborations, and other formats that: - Bring new people into Ethereum - Strengthen connections across communities and industries - Encourage hands-on participation and knowledge sharing Support may include: - Up to $500 USD in financial support - Visibility and amplification across Devcon channels - Non-financial support (connections, guidance, coordination) - Limited Devcon tickets (free or discounted), based on contribution and availability

Ecosystem Need

As Ethereum continues to grow, there is a need to make the ecosystem more accessible, connected, and grounded in its core values. This program responds to that need by: - Expanding access to Ethereum for new and diverse audiences, lowering barriers to entry through education, experimentation, and local initiatives ​​- Bridging Ethereum with other industries and communities, creating spaces where its infrastructure can be explored in real-world contexts - Promoting and putting into practice Ethereum’s core values, including:: Censorship Resistance, Open Source, Privacy, and Security, through hands-on experiences By supporting grassroots initiatives, we aim to foster an ecosystem that is not only growing, but also more connected, accessible, and resilient over time.

Hard Requirements

- Based in India or targeting Indian audiences - Clear alignment with Ethereum ecosystem - Publicly accessible event link or registration page - Demonstrates potential to drive engagement with Devcon - Initiative must create a positive impact for Devcon and the local Ethereum ecosystem - Budget breakdown (if requesting funds) - Financial support requests may not exceed $500 USD; ticket requests may not exceed 5 - Eligible events and initiatives must take place between May 15 and October 15, 2026 - Commitment to promote Devcon across channels - Commitment to share post-event outcomes/report - Shows awareness of Ethereum’s core values (CROPS) and how they may be reflected in the initiative
